Development of The Musical Adventures of Band Davion began in February 2022 when Danny "Dinky" Lyons came up with an idea to produce a direct-to-video series featuring all the main members of Band Davion. The series was also designed to take inspiration from The Wacky Adventures of Ronald McDonald—as the theme song nods to the second version of its intro—while the art style of Band Davion remains in its Tiny Toons/ES Productions fashion.
